WITH ALLITERATION AND ASSONANCE

4) Using alliteration and assonance to add smoothness to your writing

Alliteration is the repetition of consonant sounds at the beginning of words.
Assonance is the repetition of vowel sounds anywhere in a word.

Example: 
Jane lived in a quiet house on a lonely road.

Using alliteration and assonance: 
Jane lived in a soundless house on an isolated street. 

5) Trying It Out:
Write a sentence that uses alliteration and/or assonance to add elegance. 

6) A look at the lesson on the class website.


7) Write down the website address.

 Assignment for tomorrow: 
* In your notebook, write three more elegant sentences using alliteration and/or assonance.  
* Bring your parents' email addresses tomorrow, and your own address
* Bring cup for refreshment, and lemonade powder, if you wish.
