Jordan collected everybody's parents email

Mr. Salsich read Alexander's homework

Andrew found alliteration in a sentence

Jake read one of his sentences

Cassie read a sentence which was very good

Kiona's sentence and Jordan's sentence e both had Sally as the person in there sentences

Jenn knew that assonance was the repetition of vowel sounds anywhere in a sentence

Andrew collected all the homework in 13 seconds

The Server is Chris, the teacher assistant is Andrew, people sitting in the comfy chairs are Jenn, Kiona
and Jordan. The person taking video is Jake and Kara is taking pictures. I'm the note taker

We will start reading TKAM next week

Jake will start to take 5 to 10 minutes of video

When we are in English Class we will follow SLANTS

Mr.Salsich talks about when we start reading TKAM the TA finds a vocabulary word in TKAM

The vocab word from the other class is monumental

We listen to a song on pandora

The  song is called Riddle By Five For Fighting

Freestyle is from the heart

Freestyle writing has no rules

Mr.Salsich reads our first freestyle writing while we all keep a poker face so that no one will know who's writing is who's

Most of the writing's are about the outside and the birds eating birdseed

While Mr. Salsich is reading we can hear the music as it plays

Some of the writings are very different

HW is to freestyle write for 20 min

Chris's book is Cheaper By the Dozen 

Homework:

1st lesson: 

Concluding Sentences: Make the concluding sentence something that the reader will remember.

Note: Sometimes strange isn't bad.

2nd Lesson :
One annotation for each page.  

  1. Star in margin: interesting sentence.
  2. Question mark in the margin: don't understand
  3. Exclamation mark in the margin: cool sentence
  4. Highlight
At the end of the assigned reading, write three sticky notes.
  1. 1st sticky note: summary.
  2. 2nd sticky note: reflection (see book mark).
  3. 3rd sticky note: write out one sentence you really liked.

4. Sticky Notes- Andrew- What Does it Matter- Every opportunity you get for fun you should take advantage of, like when it snows for the first time in Scouts life but there wasn't enough for a full snowman. They found a way around it and had a lot of fun still.

Harry, Kara, and Cassie made great comments for how to re-read your work by stepping away for a little bit, and then coming back later and looking it over again.

We looked at Chris's, Harry's and Kiona's reading blogs
 We looked at Jenn's VERY long reading blog

Jordan made a great free-style writing post about Leaves.
Impyo had a very detailed poem posted on his blog.
Chris made a nice post on his blog that included a great simally.
Kara is very proud about her free style writings that were "beautiful" said by Mr. Salsich.
Cassie had a very interesting free-write post on her blog.
Harry wrote piece about our field trip on Friday and Halloween.

Mr. Salsich talked about his numerous mistakes he made today, and asked Jenn, Kiona and Kara what they would do about this problem.

Harry is doing a fine job tracking the speaker.

We looks at Alexander's superve Crying essay

Next we looked at Jenn's nice opening paragraph in her ssay
We looked at Emmanuel's detailed paragraph- he deserved 2 jumps!

We went over how to keep pushing to get people to express their true feelings for TKAM

E was curious about page 95 and Chris and Harry helped E out.
Jenn helped Gealen out for who Mr. Nathan Radley really was.

We are going outside to have our descution about TKAM

Kiona and Harry will be the teachers for TKAM today

Jordan made an annotation on pg.116 on that kids react faster than adults

I have notest that Chris has been doing a fine job tracking the speaker

We talked about why Uncle Jack was trying to avoid what Scout was saying on pg. 116

We had a joke by Kiona from 777 Great Clean Jokes

Alexander made a great connection on pg. 101 to his Sister

We added finding out, and curiosity to our list  of themes in the back of the book

Finish essay next week and possibly do some work on it over the weekend if you like.
